Nancy was determined to help those around her, no matter how she was feeling. Inspired by her example, Nancy & Friends Fighting Cancer has meaningfully supported cancer research and impacted many families and individuals affected by cancer.
“Your help is a godsend. My sister can stay in her home and can obtain the daily necessities she needs as she faces her daily struggles with her illness. If we didn’t have your support, her situation would be devastating for her.”
- Linda Townsend
“What you’ve done for me and my family today I can’t begin to say…I don’t think ‘thank you’ is enough.”
- Simon Minney
“Because of Nancy & Friends, my family could take much more frequent trips to visit me while I battle my cancer. My family and I from the bottom of our hearts just want to thank you for helping us and so many other families in similar situations.”
- Erik Gorenflo
Nancy was a beautiful and funny spirit: a fast friend and loving daughter, sister, wife, and mother. She shared that beauty while working at Estée Lauder, and was also an avid MacKenzie-Childs ceramics collector and Whitney Houston fan. She had a deep appreciation for the little things, a remarkable laugh, and found true joy in making family first. Before Nancy passed she wrote a message to her loved ones:
"My list (of things I’ll miss) is endless... I leave with a hope that everyone here will do all of these things with the ones they love and never leave anything undone. Life is too short — please believe it! So do that for me in my memory."
We believe in a future where no family will know the pain of losing a loved one to cancer. For this reason, Nancy & Friends Fighting Cancer is committed to supporting cancer research to find breakthrough therapies that will one day prove a cure. And while we fight this fight, we will continue to do what we love with the people we love, and never leave anything undone, just like Nancy wanted us to.
